Uninstalling the Xbox "Console Companion" app

I used the old Xbox app to keep track of mates and the Windows games I play. Now that it's been turned into a "console companion" why is it not uninstallable? I don't have an Xbox and there is no point buying one this late in the generation (or any other
point, considering the lack of exclusives), so this app has gone from great to pointless.

How can I uninstall it? Will it have any effects on system stability?

Uninstalling Xbox Console Companion app solved this problem for me.

Re uninstalling the Xbox Console Companion: the Uninstall feature button is shown but is greyed out so it won't allow me to uninstall the app. I laptop has a small processor and hard drive so I need to strip out all the unnecessary features I can. I do
have the latest version of Windows installed- any ideas why it is blocking the uninstall?

You don't need an Xbox to use the app. You can game and do various things through it on your PC.

I get the option to uninstall the app if I right click on it.

Sorry to hear your displeased with the Xbox app on your PC. Have you tried right clicking on the app the click uninstalled when the option pop up? If not, them the app might be uninstallable because Windows 10 comes automatically with apps that might not
be removable. You might be able to unpin it from your start menu. Have tried unpinning the app?
