    Understanding release versions numbers /rings


    I completed 3 months on insider and now I'm elegible to Beta, but I want to understand the release versions/rings so I can know when moving between rings would need a reset or not

    Beta: xb_flt_2111co.211126-1500

    Delta: xb_fit_2111co.211119-2200

    How can I interprete those numbers to know when moving from Delta to Beta will also enter on another ring, and a mandatory reset? Is there any logic on them?

    The New Dashboard 11/4/2019

    In my understanding the Dashboard experiment, A, B, C selection, is totally random.

    As "Both consoles say their OS Version is (19h1_release_xbox_dev_1911.191028-1335)" your consoles are either in the Beta or Delta ring.

    Both those rings and Omega ring are getting a preview update News release notes Beta Delta Omega
    Insiders     today, which you can manually start or wait until it becomes mandatory.

    After you do the update, if you want to change rings, it will be the perfect time to change as all those rings will be on the same release. Subject to eligibility.

    Bandwidth usage tracking.

    This was occurring with older versions of the XBOX OS but has been resolved with the last couple of ASA Insider preview builds. If you are in Insiders it should be fixed as the update is released to the various rings, or hopefully, the next General Availability
    release.

    Does the console have RRoD? If so please post how many rings and the secondary error code!

    2 rings: Overheating

    3 rings: General Hardware error

    4 rings: AV/HDMI cable not detected

    Secondary error code:

    Press "Sync" and "Eject" button at the same time and note down how many rings. Do this four times.

    1 ring: number 1

    2 rings: number 2

    3 rings: number 3

    4 rings: number 0
