    I was sharing games with a friend back in 2011 on the 360 and my account got permanently banned for marketplace theft. Now I see you can share games with home xbox and game pass and you don't get banned.

    Is there any chance of getting my account back now that it is not a bannable offense?

    It's been 12 years...I can't submit an appeal because it's been way past 12 months and I don't think you can even submit an appeal on permanent bans even if it wasn't passed 12 months. There is no way of contacting anybody directly to ask that I know of so that's why I'm asking here.

    Well that is interesting...
    I've talked to so many of my gamer friends and they all say they've been doing it for years. I just assumed it wasn't a bannable offense anymore.
    They just havent been caught yet then or no one has reported them for it. Its definitely still against the rules. Thats one reason why there is a limit to how many times you can change your home xbox. Its meant to try and prevent it from being abused.

    Just simply sharing your account (even without gamesharing) in and of itself is actually a bannable offense.

    Because this is a game specific stat you will have to contact Treyarch/Activision and see if they are able to reset your stats. However given the age of the game I don't think they will be able to.

    It's just weird to me because on the 360, there wasn't a report option I don't think. I think what got me was their system updates with my buddies profile on my 360 because it was right after I got the update. I could be wrong though, I was given no evidence so I will never know. I appreciate the replies. I guess a mod can lock this topic now seeing how I got my answer. :/

    Hmm. It's strange to me because they were able to detect foul play like that on the 360 days it seems but not on the new xbox services. I know so many people doing this on the new xbox services and they don't get detected for foul play. This is very odd to me. I appreciate the replies.
