Unable to use my $75 gift card

My Previous Problem: When my friend had bought me a $75 gift card we couldn't confirm it online because we kept getting a message saying something about I cannot redeem the code because its not from the region so then i tried to confirm it on my xbox one
but it kept adding a random hyphen, after that i just tried to put the code on my 360 using the same account and it worked. I was so happy that i could finally but GTA V for the Xbox One but then my money wasn't transferred to my xbox one. I got this fixed
by the Xbox support chat room.

My Current Problem: Now when i try to download gta 5 i dont get any option to use the $75 but instead it tells me "How would you like to pay the rest" which doesn't make sense because the game is $69.99 and i have a $75 on my account. The only option i apparently
have is to use my parents credit card but they wont let me and why can i just use the $75 to purchase items. Could a staff member please help? If you dont know im trying to purchase GTA 5 for the xbox one

Buying original Xbox or Xbox 360 games with account credit

I bought $75 worth of gift cards for Xbox Live and come to find out I can't use those gift cards to purchase original Xbox or Xbox 360 games from the marketplace. Is there a reason for this? Why can I only use that credit to buy Xbox One games?

Taxes you do relief that taxes would equal to an amount greater then 75 on 69 right?

If it is higher then 6% and that's would be on the really low end very few countries would be that low

Ifsupport told you to migrate to accept the codeyou go by the countries tax rate

If they exchange the code for one of your region you go by your local tax rate

This is why you never r get codes from a friend and isn't a supporter service
