Unable to use EA Desktop for EA Play sub with Ultimate

If your Xbox profile is connected to your EA account please try to clear the cache of your EA Desktop App and then restart your PC before checking again if your subscription is now active.

To clear the cache please follow the steps below:

Help > App Recovery > Clear Cache.

Hi there! After doing some research, it appears that EA Play on PC is done via the EA Desktop Application. Since I do not own EA Play, I am unable to verify this. The EA Desktop app can be downloaded from this link. Could you please try it out and update as to what happens?

Thank you for your reply, however those steps did not work.

When looking the game on the EA Desktop at the time, comes back asking me to pay for EA play subscription.

Now, not sure if this is a limitation or not, but my account is a sub-account from the game pass ultimate subscription, meaning it is a family subscription.

purchasing ea play on pc is through ea app or via steam, if you have ultimate gamepass on xbox then you get access to ea play on the ea app on pc if the accounts are linked.

if you only have ea play on xbox then you need a separate sub for ea play with the ea app or steam.

This could be a factor. Have you asked the primary account holder to try and access EA Play from their account?
