Unable to use credit

On 11/13/14 my husband received a message from xbox stating $6 would be deposited into his account due to connectivity issues. We went to use this credit to download extra content for L4D2 that costed $6.99. We tried with L4D and L4D2 through the xbox live
marketplace and were not able to use the credit. After calling xbox support today we have now learned that the $6 was never deposited into the account. I was told to post a message on the forums by Kayleigh from xbox live support.

Why can't I choose Thailand as a location?

Unfortunately Thailand is not supported by Live so you would be unable to use a Thailand credit card.

Error code 83118853 - Multi User Issue

Currently, the Credit Card authentification is erroring out anyway, meaning my child is now unable to use xbox live until something changes.

sorry nobody on the forums can help with this you have to work with phone support as we are just regular fellow users and cannot even access stuff on your account at all.

Can you give more information? What are you trying to purchase in the store? If there is any error message when you use Microsoft Balance, please let me know. You can also try to purchase through Xbox.com to check if you will get the same issue.

Please make sure that your Microsoft Balance is enough to cover the total cost of the item including taxes.

This usually happens when the balance in your account doesn't match the currency of your payment method, you should check that both are from the same region, you can even add the rest of the balance by purchasing a gift card here
