    Unable to upload clips to cloud - Xbox Series X


    I've traditionally been able to upload my clips (recorded in 4K/HDR) to the network for later mobile sharing without an issue.

    Starting a couple of weeks ago, if I try to upload a capture it will say 1% then go to a black screen and.. nothing happens.

    Here are the steps I've taken, none of which have solved the problem:

    • Reported an issue
    • Contacted Xbox Support who had me:
      • Delete local saved data
      • Change primary/secondary DNS settings
      • Do a hard reboot on the console
    • Disabled VRR
    • Deleted older saved clips from the network

    I've seen some suggestions about making the captures in 1080 SDR instead, but my question is - if I can't upload it to the Xbox network, is there any other way to get the file? They're currently being saved to internal storage so I'm guessing trying to move it to a USB isn't an option?

    Any advice would be helpful. This is quite frustrating..

    Hi!

    You can check in your pc if your videos have been uploaded, sometimes the app record the clip but it just save at pc, to view all clips at xbox app it have to be uploaded to the cloud.

    IDK i think clips are not stored locally, i think they are stored on the cloud, then uploaded to friends when you upload them.

    Upload Studio/Game DVR won't work!!

    Upload Studio seems to have been broken for about 2 weeks now, I am unable to upload a clip of any kind thru the Upload Studio, I have to upload them thru my clip manager.

    I have the same problem with two different types of clips. I tried to upload Metro 2033 clips and Battlefield Hardline beta clips to my onedrive. For both sets, I was given an error of: Sorry we are unable to upload your clip.

    if you recorded the clip by pressing the Xbox button then pressing X then you can upload it to One Drive by going to the Recent Captures on your Xbox, selecting the clip you want to upload then selecting See All Sharing Options
