Unable to upgrade xbox wireless headset firmware from windows PC 10/11

Same issue here. I've scoured Reddit and other forums and haven't seen a fix yet. The headset works fine on Bluetooth and when connected via USB-C, but while using the official Xbox Wireless Adapter (the slim one), I get garbled and choppy audio in both games and general Windows audio such as Zoom meetings.

I'm using the headset on Windows 10 with headset firmware v.0.0.9.24 as of 11/15/2021.

1. Is this the wireless or the Elite?
   

It's the wireless one not the Elite (this one https://www.microsoft.com/fr-fr/d/manette-sans-fil-xbox/8xn59crbsqgz/7V47 bought on Microsoft store).

I have two, the black and the white ones, same issue with both.

1. When did the issue start?
   

When I upgrade the firmware of my controller with Xbox Accessories app and/or when I move from Windows 10 to Windows 11 (I did both the same day).

1. Have check if the controller support Bluetooth?
   

Yes of course, as they work well in some games, not with other ones.

1. Any recent activity or changes made before the issue appeared?
   

Controller Firmware update & Windows update to Win 11

It's impossible to rollback the controller firmware on Windows 11

After investigating the issue, I've found that the Xbox Wireless Headset requires a Bluetooth 4.2 or higher, an Xbox Wireless Adapter or compatible USB-C Cable in order to connect to Windows 10/11. Can you confirm that your Bluetooth version is compatible?

- Press the Windows key + X

- Select Device Manager

- Find your Bluetooth device under the Bluetooth drop-down (ex: Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R))

- Right click it and select Properties

- Select the Advanced tab

You should see "Firmware Version: HCI XX.XXX / LMP XX.XXX" (The "X"s being place holders for the numerical values). Anything above LMP 8 meets or exceeds the firmware requirements.

Have you tried disconnecting from Bluetooth and using the headset via USB-C connection? This will verify if this is a Bluetooth connectivity issue or an issue with the device.

When you connected the headset to the PC to change options in the Xbox Accessories App, were you prompted to update the device? If not, have you tried updating the headset?
