I am sorry to hear that.

You can enable the multiplayer for Minecraft from the Xbox Family Settings app on your mobile device.

In the Xbox Family Settings app:

Go to Settings > In Enable Minecraft > Select Allow this game.

Turn on Multiplayer to let a member play online with others

Enable Clubs so that a member can create and join Minecraft Realms servers.

To download the Family App: https://www.xbox.com/apps/family-settings-app

It's also a good idea to to review if all these options are enabled by checking his account privacy settings.

Please, enter this site: https://account.xbox.com/settings

On the Privacy Tab options:

"See other people's Xbox Live profiles" > Set it to either Everyone or Friends

"You can see and upload community creations" > Set it to either Everyone or Friends

"You can communicate outside of Xbox Live with voice & text" > Set it to Allow

Click Submit.



Then, switch over to the Xbox One/Windows 10 Online Safety tab.

Set the options bellow to Allow:

"You can play with people outside of Xbox Live"

"You can join multiplayer games"

"You can add friends"

add your child account to a family by using an adult account. This will allow the adult account to

Thanks for reaching out to us in forums for this issue. If your child's account is being prompted to add a parent, then (since you have your own account) you will need to add his account to yours via Family Settings. It sounds as if his child account is
not attached to the family account at present. Adding his profile to your family will allow you to monitor and control the activities that his account is allowed to perform or things he can buy and is a great way to keep your child (and their account) safe.
Once his account is under the family account, you can assist him by helping him choose the privacy & security settings that will allow him to play Fortnite.

Thanks "Lord", Online Safety was Allowed, which got me to look at a different scenario...child accounts were logged into Xbox Live but could not play online games.....somehow the child accounts were removed from the Family account, so I had to "Add Family
Member", so all should be GOLDen now....

Unfortunately, you are unable to change the child account to adult. The account will have to "graduate". You can, however, create a new account with a different age. If you are trying to allow the account access to certain content, log into your Xbox One
under the Admin account then add the child account to family. This can be done by going to Settings > Scroll to the right to Add to Family > then add the child's profile. Once this has been completed, log into http;//account.live.com to update content access
for the child account. I hope this information helps.
