    Unable to turn off auto-renew


    I subscribed to Xbox Gamepass for PC but when I try to turn off auto-renew I encounter an error. I waited for hours and tried again but nothing changed.

    It sounds like you left auto-renewal turned on. Whenever you purchase Gold from Xbox it turns on auto-renewal. If you don't turn it off, they will continue to charge you for Live. If they are unable to charge you for some reason, they will suspend your account
    until you pay off the balance you owe.

    Restoring subscription.

    Usually that means auto-renewal was still turned on and your subscription was continued. Once they are unable to charge you, the subscription is suspended.

    If you did turn off auto-renewal before then, you'll want to contact support and speak to billing http://support.xbox.com/contact-us

    Cannot remove credit card after auto renewal switched off.

    How is this legal? You have to call in to cancel or turn off auto renewal and are unable to remove you're card until you do. Then they have no refunds after you get auto renewed on... one of the dirtier ticks I've seen.
