Unable to trim clip on series x

Thankyou for your reply and I have tried all those things and it has made no difference and I assume it’s just built into the Xbox that you can’t trim once the videos are on the cloud but is there some way to bring the videos back onto my console instead of the the cloud?

Regarding the trim issues, I would recommend trying some basic troubleshooting steps like Physically Power Cycling your Console, and if this does not work try to Remove your account and then Add it back to the Xbox Series X console see if this will correct this issue.

Also, please bare in mind that game clips that haven’t had any views or engagement may be deleted at some point, you might want to back up your clips. You can do this from your console or your PC.

Upload captures from Xbox Live to OneDrive from your console

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide, then go to Broadcast & capture.
   
2. Select Recent captures > See All.
   
3. Select the list view button on the right to display your captures in a list.
   
4. Select the check box next to the captures you want to upload.
   
5. Select the Upload to OneDrive button to begin uploading.
   

Upload captures from Xbox Live to Google Drive from your PC

1. Open the Xbox app on your PC.
   
2. Sign in to the app using your Microsoft account.
   
3. Select the Captures icon on the left menu panel.
   
4. Select On Xbox Live to view captures you’ve uploaded to Xbox Live.
   
5. Select the Download button to download the captures locally to your PC. These will be stored in the Videos folder on your C drive.
   
6. Upload your local files to Google Drive or another storage location.
   

There used to be an app called Upload Studio which has just been removed from the App Store. To trim your videos from your Xbox follow these steps.

1. First capture your gameplay by pressing your xbox button followed by X.

2. After a short while your clip will have saved to your recent captures.

3. To see these captures press your xbox button again and move to Capture & Share.

4. Go to recent captures and press A, then choose which clip you want to trim and edit.

5. An option should now appear near bottom of list saying Trim.

6. It may take several moments to load in your clip.

7. Move your left analogue to trim your clip from.the start and your right to trim it from the end.

8. When finished press A to preview clip or X to save.

Hello Again Mateus

I have just received my replacement Xbox Series X and this one has the exact same problem as my first one, ie:bad playback of clips recorded from my FS 2020 and TSW sims (see discussion with moderater Mateus Fortuna on the first Xbox series X) plus with this one has no sound (sometimes) and it cant trim the clips, i have put a clip on you You Tube again (taken from a 4k 60hz TV)

I agree its not the greatest at this point in time. I usually only use the upload studio to trim short clips. If I really want to edit videos, I capture to my pc and use different software. I would like to think that it will get a good update in the future
or at least when the series x comes out.
