Unable to transfer Minecraft account

Hey,

I logged into my Minecraft account for the first time in a while and saw the account migration notification. I attempted to migrate my Mojang account, but the page gives an error saying the account is banned. It looks like the case review option only works for banned accounts, but unfortunately the enforcement page doesn't list an infraction. I haven't logged into an Xbox Live service since around 2009 according to my emails. I tried to use the contact us page, but when selecting "What are you having trouble with?" "Family & online safety" > "What's the issue?" "I received a ban or subscription", it asks me to sign in, then after signing in, asks me to sign in again, repeating.

Questions:
Will this mean I'll eventually lose the Mojang account?
Is there an option to open a case review anyway?

Should I contact phone support?

I’ve tried all of this hence why I said my account is unable to be recovered. Is it possible for a minecraft account to be transferred even if the account cannot be signed into

I'm sorry about that. Everything about bans can be found here enforcement.xbox.com

That's where you'll see the type of ban, the duration and if you can appeal it. If it doesn't show up on there then there isn't anything that can be done as Support cannot assist with issues of bans or suspension.

Hey HomegrownSilky,

It seems like Xbox Live still considers the gamertag used by this account even through there hasn't been a login in >5 years. I believe there may be some un-usable outstanding credit in the account, which reads as if that prevents the account from being closed.

I have no issue with deleting my Xbox Live account while retaining my Microsoft account if that was an option.
