Unable to stream any video app

Hi there,

In the last few weeks I have been unable to stream any of my video apps. Such as Amazon Prime, Netflix, Sky Go. It will play for a few seconds and then lock up the xbox meaning i have to switch off and then on again to reset.

I have tried switching to a wired connection, changing HDMI ports on the back of the TV, Uninstalled the apps and then re-installed. Formatted the hard disk and nothing seems to work. I still get the same result.

I do not think it is an internet provider issue as I am able to successfully watch these apps on my phone.

Does anyone have any further ideas?

Unable to stream, please try again later

All of a sudden i cant stream on the xbox app. I have also noticed that my app is not up to date however i am unable to update it for some reason.

Any idea? thanks!

 

Xbox video won' allow me to play videos on my Surface 2.

I am unable to play videos on my Xbox video app, any kind of video produces an error screen stating that the error code 0xc00d36c4, and also says 'either Windows doesn't support the items file format or the content doesn't match the extension in the file
name.' .. this all while trying to stream my movies/TV shows using my Surface 2. One thing to note is that this only happens after I use the mobile.HD app which I use to play my local media. After a reset the problem goes, but every time I use the app again
it stops working with any Xbox videos???

 

Try clearing the console's cache

support.xbox.com/.../clear-system-cache

If that doesn't work, try removing the hard drive and reinstalling the app without it in. If it works then the issue may lay with your hard drive.

If the console still freezes up then you may need to send it in for repairs.
