Unable to sign up for x box game console companion error 500

I can imagine how concerning getting an error like this when trying to sign up for the app could be concerning.

This more than likely was due to the brief Xbox Live Service outage as previously stated by @Smwutches.





This has been since resolved though, so if you can, restart your PC and let us know if you continue to experience any problems

I will add that Forza Horizon 4 had a similar problem. I did the following:

Start->Settings->X-box->X-box Networking (test starts)

"Teredo is unable to qualify."

"Fix it"

(Test restarts, Open NAT given in test and Teredo is fixed)

Start up FH4.

Going into it/loading in will not fix the issue. It's when you sign out and then back into X-box Live that the issue there (servers not found/whatever with the error code of region: 0x000000) is fixed.

Forza Horizon 3 doesn't have that option of singing your X-box Live profile out on the PC version to relogin and test to see if that fixes the server block. :/

But it's on the joining function for sure. FH4 put me into a server immediately with this "work around" while FH3 won't find anything. I don't have a console to check to see if doing this method (sign out/new profile) fixes FH3. But it's hugely disappointing as I want to play FH3 online over 4. :/

I get the same issue but only on 1 pc, Reset Windows Stored app and Uninstalled and uninstalled Xbox Console Companion and stil unable to login (0x409) error.

Unfortunately, the resource you shared does not have a solution for the issue I am facing (basis the image above). Every time in click on the sign in button, there is a window that pops up for a fraction of a second and then disappears
and the error code (0x409) 0x80080300 shows up below the sign in button.

Would you happen to have some other solutions for me to try?
