Unable to Sign into Minecraft Due to Deleted Account

Hello Microsoft community,

I am encountering an issue while trying to sign into Minecraft. The problem stems from the fact that the account previously connected to my Minecraft game no longer exists. Here are the details of my situation:

I used to play Minecraft with an old email but that account is no longer accessible.

When I attempt to sign in to Minecraft, I receive an error message stating that my account is already linked to another account but it doesn't specify what account

I am now unsure how to regain access to my Minecraft account. Can someone please help me to resolve this issue and link my Minecraft game to a new or existing Microsoft account? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I am sorry you are going through this.

Since this is a Minecraft ( Mojang ) account issue, this need to be addressed directly at Mojang support, okay? These accounts are separate from Microsoft/Xbox accounts.

Still no luck with the problem, deleted those files but the other account is still there and did the in-place upgrade but no luck with that. when i try to sign in with the 'other' account it just signs me into my normal account. looks like something is seriously wrong with my account. i don't know if this will help but I'm able to launch the Minecraft launcher from the Xbox app and i can play Minecraft java and Minecraft windows but i am unable to play Minecraft dungeons and legends they get the same error message my other Xbox games get.

I have reached an answer. I am unable to move the Gmail account due to the account not being 'secured'. I am also unable to recover the lost Gmail account. I cannot get back in. I guess I just have to buy Minecraft again.

I’ve tried all of this hence why I said my account is unable to be recovered. Is it possible for a minecraft account to be transferred even if the account cannot be signed into

Hi there! I'm more than happy to help you!

Deleting a Microsoft account requires the owner to request a closure which will take 60 days for the account to be permanently deleted and to delete a Minecraft account you will also need to request deletion.

If you haven't done these which means your account must not have been deleted at all. In order to fix this, you will need to locate the Microsoft account where your Minecraft was migrated. Kindly sign into account.microsoft.com > go to Payment and Billing > then Order History.

From there, check if you can see your Minecraft game purchase. If you found it, use the same account to sign into the Minecraft launcher.

However, if you can't find the transaction it means that is not the account where your Minecraft was migrated. Try to sign in to your other Microsoft account email addresses and check the Order History for the Minecraft transaction.
