Unable to See "Mini Games" menu option in Minecraft at start screen

Sorry for such a basic question, I think most using Minecraft will know answer so please help.

I got XBox One S and Minecraft for XBox . When I start Minecraft, I could not find how to get to Mini Games. I have seen some of my firends got a Option to click on welcome screen (first screen you get to when you open Minecraft) which says "Mini Games".
I could not see that option on my screen when I start Minecraft. Please note I got CD of Minecraft from which I am playing on XBox One S . I can see that I am connected to internet and also updated everything to latest.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Try the following.

From the main menu, select PLAY GAME

Select MORE OPTIONS

In there you should see the top option is enabled (ONLINE GAME), un-check/un-tick/un-select this option. If that option is enabled it will be trying to connect to Xbox Live which requires a Gold Account on the console.

Press B to go back

Select LOAD

Once the world loads, it should show a prompt for how the 2nd player can join in (May be A button or the Menu (used to be START) on the 2nd controller)

The screen should go split screen and away you go, enjoy your Minecraft gaming.

Anyone else unable to sign into xbox live when playing the 360 games?

When pressing both the Menu and View buttons to bring up the mini guide it just says connect to xbox live.

power cycle on the Xbox One. If that doesn't work definitely try checking out on Minecraft Forums

I bought CD for shop for game. I can see on XBox, it shows its installed and shows no pending updates for the game

The mini games for minecraft was only on the xbox one edition.

The newer version which is Bedrock edition does not have the mini games as the other one. Instead they have servers that acts as mini games.

To know the difference is the xbox one edition will say "Xbox One edition" under the minecraft name.

While the bedrock edition will just say minecraft.

You might have gotten the newer version while your friends still has the older version of the game on Xbox one.
