Agreed, the COD franchise has had a long enough break from the WWII era.

WWII anyday!There are still so many campaigns that could be done with WWII games.MoH,CoD,Battlefield only touched on a few of the thousands of different WWII campaigns that existed and sometimes repeated scenarios.There are still so many things that can
be done with WWII you wouldn't believe.I never get tired of WWII games and will wait for them to bring fresh material to the game.If CoD wants to make a real comeback this is how to do it.

Yet another pro that never played COD 2. It used to be a great tactical game until it went modern, after WWII It went to pieces catering to run and gun noobs. 24/7 nuke town, NEVER in old true COD.

You're trying to prove WWII games have not been played to death because there are so few? Except my point was on topic and in relation to the Call of Duty franchise specifically.

-The first Call of Duty, now an arcade title: WWII

-CoD 2: WWII

-CoD3: WWII

-CoD WaW: WWII

-And the spin offs for original Xbox, Finest Hour, and Big Red One: both WWII.

That would be 6 CoDs set in WWII. Not counting the spin offs, you still have 4, compared with 3 modern ones, and 1 in the Cold War. Now explain to me how WWII has not been 'played to death' in Call of Duty, and why it would make sense for them to return
to it, instead of doing something they've never done before?? Something fresh, and new?

CoD: WWII. Everything else, modern.
