Unable to reset difficulty on microsoft solitaire games

Whoops - I did the "forget" bit within the game of Klondike and Spider and nothing happened. But then I did it before opening up any individual game and did the forget bit.....and it gave me choices. Thanks so much for the suggested solution. I'm a
happy player now.

In the top left corner, there's three horizontal lines with Menu under them. Click that, and go to game options at the top. Scroll down to the bottom of the options and you should see choices for "Remember Deck Difficulty" - just change that to Off.

Then I think you need to play another game, and then go back and change that to Yes - assuming you want it to default to Expert. Not 100% sure about this part though.

I can confirm what Ackis said to turn off "Remember Deck Difficulty". Launch a new game, then select the difficulty you want.

If you want to stick with that difficulty moving forward each time, go back into the menu and turn "Remember deck difficulty" back on. The game will launch at that difficultly the next time you play. If you want to choose the difficulty each time, leave
it off.

I turned off the remember deck difficulty, played a game, closed out, then started up a new game a few moments later. It didn't give me a choice of difficulty levels. Just immediately started playing - apparently always at random play (I liked playing
solvable or switching things out to medium, hard, expert and the like. How do you get to where you can see those choices?
