Unable to refer/invite

I have never been able to refer a friend / invite someone to rewards. I know of at least one Gamertag I could do so with. My avatar also still represents the Xbox 360 side of my Gamertag, not sure if that could be part of the problem or not. Not sure
what to do or how to fix this.

Refer-a-Friend invite

Hello A1B1C0,

The referrals should be nearly instant, and sent within the same day. They should be sent to the Microsoft Account email of the person you are referring, but they may also wish to check their contact preference email as well. You can verify your contact
preference email via clicking on Xbox Settings>Contact Preferences through your profile on Xbox.com. This drop down menu can be accessed by clicking your avatar in the top right corner of this page. Also, we can only send referrals if the person receiving
the message has opted in and is currently allowing Xbox communications.

Refer-a-Friend invite

Where does that "invite" go? We've checked both xbox account associated emails, nothing, dashboard, same, nothing. It still says pending on my end for referral. How long does it usually take before it sends/shows up? And where does it end up? I'd hate to
lose out on the reward points. Please help, all help is appreciated. Thanks to all in advance.

Hello philbert2k,

There is no offer to invite a friend into the Rewards program. If you are asking about the refer a friend to purchase offer (Xbox Live Rewards), if your friends have already made
a purchase off the xbox store, they would not be eligible for the offer, and therefore will not appear in the refer list.

We use the 360 avatar for our gamerpic. Apologies for any confusion. If you would like to change that avatar, you would have to do so from a 360 device.

If you are referring to participating in the Preview Program, you must be invited and accepted into the program. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide invites here in the Support Forums, you would need to be invited by someone who is already participating.

I sent a invite for future reference

I was invited to the preview program in late march but my xbox broke and i had to send it in to repair and I was unable to accept the invitation. I was wondering how i can get another invitation or if someone could invite me. I was unable to go to the private
forum but i have contacted xbox twice and they have said i was invited and need to accept the invitation.
