Unable to redeem xbox game pass Disney+ perk

Hello all!

The issue: Whether on my phone (xbox game pass app), or my xbox, when I click on the notification about the free Disney+ month, it just takes me to a listing of all the perks, and the Disney+ one is simply not there.

I have removed my profile from my xbox (followed directions from on-the-phone tech support from Microsoft), and uninstalled the app on my phone (android), and the issue persists.

My subscription to Ultimate is good until July 16, 2021.

Any ideas?

I do not have a particular issue with that, however the call I had with someone at the xbox department told me that there "could" be an issue, and to check support.xbox.com to see if there were, and there is not, but nothing substantial was done about it. He also told me to expect an email with a ticket # from the call, and that has not appeared either. I am a little reluctant to spend another 20 min if the end result is the same. If you have someone in particular that I can call, that would be appreciated.

Yet, the official press release says that doesn't matter.

"Whether you claimed the previous Disney+ Perk or not, Ultimate members who do not currently have an active Disney+ subscription will be eligible to claim the 30-day subscription trial through the Perks Gallery on their Xbox console, on the Xbox app for Windows PC, or through the Xbox Game Pass mobile app on iOS and Android."

Even that link that you shared has the same disclaimer. The wording in the statement is a bit confusing though. Technically, you can claim a perk but not redeem it. I have claimed perks that I didn't actually end up redeeming. Perhaps that is what they are referring to? Not really sure. It does seem contradictory. I will give you that.

Disney+ perk did not show for me in the Xbox app on PC. It did show on the Game Pass app on iPad, but said it could only be claimed on PC or Xbox. I was able to claim it through the Game Pass app on Android. (In the UK. Had done a 30-day Disney+ trial earlier this year already.)

Also check which app you use. Most platforms have several (Xbox app, Game Pass app, ..) and not all show perks.
