    No, it's not possible to change it to Xbox Game Pass. The only thing you can do, if you haven't redeemed the code, is either give or sell it to someone. Then purchase an Xbox Game Pass code instead.

    No you can't purchase subs with credits from your account. You can buy a code for Game Pass but you need a payment method like credit card or PayPal - depending on the country you live in to redeem the code.

    You can turn off recurring billing after you have redeemed the Game Pass code if you don't want that.

    If you are still unable to activate the pass I wanted to mention there is an issue with purchasing and redeeming https://support.xbox.com/xbox-live-status

    Also, if you had the Game Pass in the past a trial will not work
