    Unable to redeem promo code, keeps giving me a region error response


    Hi Promotions Team,

    I've had a code to redeem that is not working due to regional issues, I have been on to Customer support who have done everything they can to rectify but cannot fix. They have referred me to you so you can check code and verify as promo and they also claim
    you can replace code.

    I just bought a 12 month live membership, when I go to redeem the code it acknowledges what I bought but doesn't let me redeem it and keeps giving me this error code.

    A new code won't work

    They aren't region locked

    360 games are hovever region locked

    To solve this is all on you

    You must first live in an xbox live region

    Then match your account region to your actual regiom

    Under my account and change my region on this website

    After that change your account region to match

    Using the us as your region doesn't work unless you actually live there

    Fallout 3 redeem code error

    I'm in the exact same boat. Redeeming through the xbox.com site, both the webpage and console are set to Australia, as is my Billing information and credit card details (as I am in Aus) however keep getting an error code which seems to relate to incorrect
    region (based off the error code look up) attempted to contact support but they seemed to be unable to help. (Error code Xbos-0x80150017) even tried changing the webpage region but that gives a different error code.

    Problems with redeeming the code for 800 MS points

    What region is the 800 MSP code from? If it is from a different region than your account, it will not redeem (MSP codes are region locked).

    Is that a RETAIL MSP card? Or is it a promo code? Promo MSP codes expire after a certain amount of time (and MSP itself has been discontinued for awhile).
