Unable to redeem free 3-months xbox live gold

Hi,

I'm having problems redeeming my free code for xbox live

It says it has already expired which was not true. Code was purchased end of august and after 3 months I tried to redeem free one to no joy

Amazon told me it's not their problem. I spoke to someone from community and was told to speak to Amazon... So not getting anywhere with this really :/

Contacting Xbox Customer Support so a representative can check the code and give you more information or any possibly options that may be available.

You must create an account and upgrade the status to gold.

If you have not used your 3 free gold trials for your console, you can create another account and a message will appear stating you are able to redeem a free month of Xbox LIVE.

Once your trials run out you must re-purchase Xbox LIVE via. online or redeemable codes.

Error Code: 8016A0FA – Appears when you try to redeem a gold membership card on your account and are unable to do so because you already have the maximum 3 years (36 months) of Xbox LIVE Gold time.

When you get the 2 year mark with your gold subscription time, you will then be able to redeem that code on this account.

Did you purchase Xbox Live Gold through the Minecraft + Gold page through the Xbox One dashboard, or did you purchase a 3 Month Xbox Live Gold pre-paid code and redeem it? If you redeemed and Xbox Live Gold code, unfortunately you will not qualify for this
promotion. To qualify for this promotion, 3 Months or 12 Months of Xbox Live Gold must be purchased through the Minecraft + Gold promotion page directly through the Xbox One console with a credit card on file.
