    Hi I'm unable to redeem my son game pass ultimate three months free on his samsung S20 fe we have had the game pass on his console but it rang out yesterday we are trying to put it on his phone but it keeps saying we can't redeem it and have to go to a

    Xbox Gold conversion

    If you are already a Game Pass Ultimate subscriber, then any Gold codes you redeem will be converted to Game Pass Ultimate. If you are not an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Subscriber, then no, the Gold codes should not convert to Game Pass Ultimate.

    Was it a standard Game Pass card or Game Pass Ultimate? Did you already have Game Pass Ultimate when uou redeemed the code?

    I have the same exact problem. Bought ultimate edition at GameStop. I was able to redeem and get the bonus cars from GameStop codes but unable to get VIP, All Stars or car pass. Code said it was redeemed but it isn't there for me to install.

    If the Game Pass code was for Game Pass Ultimate, not just Game Pass, then the remaining Gold you had would have been converted to Game Pass Ultimate when you redeemed that code since Ultimate includes Gold. So by cancelling the Ultimate subscription, you would have cancelled everything.

    If I gift Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to a friend but they already have Xbox Core what happens?

    If they redeem the code, then it would convert their subscription to Game Pass Ultimate, and cancel Game Pass Core.
