You can't redeem it because it's already been redeemed.

All the DVD editions of MSF2020 have been upgraded to the 40th Aniversary Edition. This is a considerable update over your old edition. You'll need to go to your library and download it unfortunately.

Where did you receive the code? What's the specific error code and error message you receive? Could anyone have accessed the code and redeemed it before you got a chance to redeem? If you are receiving an error that the code is redeemed, unfortunately we are

That's where the problem is. MFS2020 on disc is now pretty much obsolete. Since you have redeemed the activation code already, you need to download the current version from the Xbox App. You don't need to buy it again, but you will need to download it as your current version is no longer supported.

As mentioned in the message you received, the EA Access codes do expire after the date that is detailed in the Xbox Live message you received. Once a code has expired, we are unable to replace the code. Please be sure to redeem any codes that come in to
