    Unable to purchase Windows 10 games on Windows 10 Education


    I have the required hardware to play games like Killer Instinct and Gears of War Ultimate, but it's not letting me purchase them due to my version of Windows 10. It says I need to upgrade to the latest version. Problem is I'm already updated. I used to have
    Windows 10 Home and decided to "upgrade" (not what I would call this) to use the workgroups function for college. How do I fix this without buying a key for Windows 10 Home?

    is this a school owned (rented) PC?

    if so group policy may not allow games to be played.

    and or Microsoft might say that games should not be allowed on a educations version of windows.

    here is an idea, try installing hill climb racing or asphalt 8 and see if it allows Free games.

    This is my pc. I installed it using a dreamspark account. And yes, Asphalt 8 is already installed. Same with Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition. And just so you know, I'm completely able to play GTA V, Doom, and Wolfenstein with no problems, so it's not a hardware
    issue.

    Is there any ready updates for windows or Store? How much storage do you have on your PC. Do these games install on another PC with the same OS version of windows 10?

    One option you can do is:

    Right click on start to get a menu, click on run CMD (comand prompt) with run as administrator.

    Then type in WSReset.exe

    What this will do is clear the cache and re-license everything.

    Please reply if doing did not work.

    No, those didn't work. I don't have another pc to try to install games on, either. I have 31 GB free on my C drive and 71 GB on my E drive.
