Unable to purchase Live Gold at promotional price

I've been on the chat line to the support team to try and resolve this and they've asked me to contact the Promotion team via this forum.

I'm trying to renew a lapsed Live Gold membership and it shows me an offer of £31.99 for 12 months. When I try to purchase that (either via the console or a desktop browser) I get an error message saying "Try that again. Something happened on our end. Waiting
a bit might help."

"Resident Evil 4" not discounted.

Have any other Gold members been unable to purchase "Resident Evil 4" at the discounted Gold price of $6.49? I tried to purchase it earlier this week and it indicated my card would be charged $19.99. Earlier today I renewed my Gold membership with a three-month
code, and still Live would only let me purchase the game for $19.99. Any suggestions?

Xbox live discount 12 month membership not working

I have tried getting a 12 month membership for the xbox live gold and i have been unable to purchase it at the marked discount price of 35.99.

I have sent a spoken to the support techs and were unable to find a solution as too why I could not purchase this product. They were unable to explain the issue and forwarded me too this forum.

any suggestions or solutions?

Also, $10 a month is the standard price of 1 month of gold. If you purchase a promotion, you'll get the promotion price and then when it renews, it renews at the regular price.

Hey, Slik5000! Smwutches is correct. Once a promotion ends and the original price is up on the site or console, you will need to pay that price for the game. The promotion to buy Battlefield at that price was set for a week, so if you were unable to purchase
it at that price and would like it at a discounted price, you will need to wait for a future promotion. Thanks for understanding!

Oh no! Very sorry to hear. Unfortunately we're unable to adjust prices or honor prices for promotions that have expired, but be sure to keep an eye out for future deals with gold!

The promotion mentioned in that article has ended, but there is currently another $1 promotion for Ultimate for new subscribers. If you've used Ultimate before, you would not be eligible for that price.

The Gold cards upgrading to Ultimate is not promotion specific. If you have gold on your account when you purchase Ultimate (whether it's in a promotion or full price), your gold will be upgraded to Ultimate.
