    Unable to purchase from Xbox or Microsoft Store


    So I have spent almost 6 hours on phone with support people who have no idea what they are doing. I am unable to purchase anything from Xbox store or Microsoft store. I can also not redeem any codes, like for a game pass subscription I bought on Amazon thinking I could go around the store….

    I need some help. I don’t want to make another account as I have 200 games in my library. No one seems to know what to do and I have to repeat all the stupid steps to every support person.

    They say my account isn’t locked or on “fraud” watch or whatever but something is blocking me from making any type of purchase or redeeming codes.

    Anyone have any ideas or if Microsoft could actually look into the issue.

    Yeah I know the feeling. Just bought the Series X FarCry bundle and my Xbox doesn’t turn on. Sounds like internal power supply issue. (According to other people). So not only can I not do anything with my account my Xbox doesn’t even work… and since they are so hard to come by don’t know when I’ll be able to get a replacement.

    Finally found someone else that is having the same issue around the same time I started having it as well. I have spoken to 3 different chat support people 'til the 3rd one finally told me that lots of people were having this issue and that it's being worked on.

    I really wasn't believing it as none of my friends or family are having this same issue, but now I can let out a sigh of relief knowing I'm not the only one.

    Just like you I can't purchase any content through the Xbox or on the Microsoft Store whether it's through my Xbox, PC, or mobile devices. I can't even go to my payment options page to look at or change anything as I'm getting the same exact message your are getting.

    We are just going to have to wait for them to get this resolved. Cheers.

    I can’t even edit my billing options… something is seriously wrong with my account on Microsoft side. Like is it blocked or suspended?

    It JUST got fixed for me. When I just checked around 7:00pm CDT. Last I tried around 5:00pm CDT and it still wasn't working. Hope it got resolved for you guys as well if not soon.
