Unable to purchase Deals With Gold or claim Games With Gold

To claim 360 games with gold for xbox one you need to have linked with the account a valid method of payment, credit card. In this case a purchase of 0,00$ is registered while claiming the game.

Since the account is that of a minor and not allowed to purchase online, it cannot claim the 360 games with gold for xbox one.

I am having the same issue. After upgrading my subscription from the regular Xbox live Gold and GamePass to GamePass Ultimate, i am no longer able to claim the current free game with gold and use discounts for Deals with Gold games.

I'm having the same problem as everyone else in this thread. I purchased a year of Xbox Gold and converted it to GP Ultimate in April. I was able to download Star Wars Jedi Pod Racer fine, but have had to use the website for every other game since. Now, I'm unable to claim Darkwood and Vale, even through the Xbox website. I was also unable to buy Alien: Fireteam Elite at its discounted price when it was a Deal with Gold 2 weeks ago, as it would never appear with the correct price for me -- it always instructed me to get Gold, which I have (or "had", since the GP Ultimate subscription overrides it).

Hopefully this issue can be resolved sooner than later.

You have to have a gold membership to download free games and qualify for the deals of the week for gold. Trials will not allow you access to these deals. If you have gold, try purchasing it off the xbox.com. It is showing free for gold members.

Only the account that has purchased gold can access gold deals. Since the child account would have access to gold because you are sharing it with them, they would not have access to gold deals. You can purchase the games on your account and they can access
them on theirs or you would need to add gold to their account.
