    Unable to purchase anything on xbox live


    I'm trying to use the $40.01 in my Microsoft account but when I attempt to buy something I get the error message,
    "Sorry, we couldn't get authorization for this. Use a different or new way to pay, or check that your billing address is correct...."

    This has been an issue for more than two months now and I have contacted MS support multiple times with no help. I've tried to add my credit card and that doesn't work either. Anyone have a solution yet? Its becoming very frustrating!!!

    It seems to have finally fixed itself. Was able to purchase the DLC but it took a really, really looooong time to download.

    Unable to purchase anything on Xbox 360

    This problem just started today. I've tried to buy a DLC for Assassin's Creed Black Flag as well as a new game. When I click to buy it on the console, the Confirm Purchase option doesn't come up. The only option available is to Cancel and there isn't any
    error codes. Have already cleared my System Cache and Marketplace Cache and neither fixed the problem. Please help!

    Hi there,

    If you have the exact error code that would be tremendously helpful in offering solutions.

    However, if it is the case that you are trying to do this from the web, could I suggest you instead try from an Xbox 360? The web store does not yet support the use of the currency in the Microsoft Account (since the switch away from Microsoft Points) whereas
    this operation can be completed from the console.

    Let us know if that works, or if you are already trying this from a console when the error code appears.

    Again, giving us the error code itself would be enormously helpful in resolving this for you.
