Unable to Pre-Load Gears 5 on PC

I purchased game pass ultimate for PC, and the Xbox Beta app gives me the option to pre-load Gears 5 in preparation for the early release tomorrow.

Unfortunately, the game is stuck at 0% (Preparing) and never advances. I have cancelled and restarted the download, but it wont install at all after that. I click install, it asks for the desired install drive, and I click okay. Then the button goes from
"Preparing" back to "Install" instantly.

I'm very excited about this game but pretty irritated that Xbox Owners can pre-load, but the PC owners cannot. Please help.

Actually, I did not update the app. I found that deleting the game from my queue on the app store removed the bug.

I am able to download and install the game now. Also, "I did just fine" does not help. Thanks though.

Did you pre-order the game? You can only download early if you have already pre-ordered it or do so now. This game is not available just because you have ultimate or game pass.

I have Game Pass Ultimate, and I was able to download the game when the pre-load when live.

"If you preordered Gears 5 or are an
Xbox Game Pass subscriber, you can preload the game starting today. Just head over to the Microsoft Store in your browser and open Gears 5. You should see the option to "Install/play." While it's impossible to play it as of now, you can pre-load it by clicking
on the "..." next to the button and installing it to your console of choice."
