Unable to play old Xbox One game Toy Soldiers War Chest

Same - game starts, comes to menu screen, plays background music, nothing selectable to start game or do anything after that.

We can try other things in order to isolate the problem a bit more:

A. Try using a different controller or connect the controller with a USB cable

B. Double check if your controller has the latest firmware update installed via accessories app

C. Do the opposite, downgrade your controller firmware, for this use this article

D. Can be a bit odd but try using a different profile / account in your console and open the game from there

E. Do a factory reset for your console but keeping games and apps
For this go to settings > system > console info > reset and then select keep my games and apps

Depending on the category selected you can find the option, try changing categories until you see the desired option.

But I think that could be a problem with the game itself and not your Xbox, in this case the best option is reach the game developer (Ubisoft)

Tried another friend's controller, no luck.

Controller has latest firmware and works for all games even this one - where I am able to skip initial intro video to reach menu screen but nothing after that.

Tried different profile, no luck.

Did factory reset, no luck.

Additionally, i uninstalled game, went offline and installed disc version. Then started game in offline mode (no update patch applied from online), still no luck.

Phone service for Microsoft support is not working for India region. Any other way I can write to Microsoft customer support? Email or any direct URL?

May I know if you tried to install the game remotely using the Xbox mobile app?
If not please download and configure the Xbox app in your phone
Once configured go to the search tab > start typing toy soldiers war chest > tap the result and tap “download to console”

Once downloaded insert the disc and see if maybe the same happens or not

**Make sure to delete the current game before that
***If you have USB accessories connected to the console please disconnect everything before and after installing the game
