    Unable to play Minecraft better together because of wrong versions.


    Heya!

    Me and my friend are trying to play Minecraft better together, Hes on Xbox One and I'm on Windows 10/PC. I enrolled for the Xbox insider Programme and got Minecraft 1.2.13. He enrolled aswell but got 1.2.11. We can't play together because of this! I have
    no clue how to unroll myself from the programme, I've looked around inside the hub but couldn't find it! Can anyone help me?

    How to play pocket edition with minecraft full game on xbox live?

    In order for the two of you to play together you would both need the better together version of minecraft. If you have the xbox one edition of minecraft it is not compatible with the pocket edition.

    MULTIPLAYER BETWEEN XBOX ONE AND XBOX 360

    The only cross-play version is the Better Together which unfortunately left the 360 behind. In order to play with your friend you'd need to play on the 360 version of Minecraft.

    Hi, if you have the Minecraft Xbox One disc version then sadly that offer of a free upgrade to the Better together version no longer applies and you will need to buy Minecraft again.

    Q: How long will the Better Together Update be available as a free download to players who own the console version of the game?

    A: Owners of the disc version of Minecraft: Xbox One Edition will have until January 30th 2018 to have played Minecraft for five or more hours in the past 12 months OR purchased a DLC Pack. There is no cutoff for digital Minecraft: Xbox One Edition owners.

    Hi Dylan,

    Thanks for keeping us updated with your replies. If the version of Minecraft you're using on disc is the Minecraft: Xbox One edition, then to update to the new Minecraft (Better Together), you'll need to purchase the game as it is a wholly different version.
    The free update from Minecraft: Xbox One edition to the new Minecraft edition (Better Together) ended on January 30th 2018.
