Unable to play halo wars 2. Problem with external hard drive

Do you see this issue with other games on your external storage device? Curious to see if the issue is on the device's side of things. If you haven't already tried, please give an install on your Xbox One console's internal storage to see if there's any change.
Keep us looped in with how it goes and whether other games are having issues with your external hard drives.

Ok now it's a problem.

I pluged an external Hard Drive, I've installed:

-Halo 4

-Halo Anniversary

-The walking Dead Survival Instinct

Only The Walking Dead launch from the external Hard Drive, other games launch from disc.

But why????

Thanks, I've removed the external, and it works perfectly. So that was the problem. Sooner or later, I'm going to get an actual Xbox 360 hard drive, since you gotta have 'em to play Halo 2 and other original Xbox games.

Also, is an official xbox 360 external hard drive backwards compatible (In case I want to get, lets say Halo 2)

I assume you have the Series S. If that's the case, then yes, you can't play the game from that external drive. You'll need to move it to the internal drive to play.
