Unable to play games or use apps: Error code 0x87de0017

Needed this fixing first time they have the power and money so why not fix it oh yeah its because xbox users dont matter as much as psn users get treated they needed this fixing first time in June and still it pops up to bite them.

 

it's a new "feature(bug)" of the new xbox OS. it seems as though when xbox live core services start having problems the system doesn't like to launch games. if you have previously played that game before you can go into offline mode and then launch it. you
won't be able to play online, but it's better than nothing.

but if this is your first time playing a digital purchase you will have to wait until the service comes back up.

For Microsoft.

This is a huge problem! there is no reason launching a game should be tied to your "core services" if the game has already been authenticated for use one that xbox.

WE NEED THIS FIXED!

 

frankly, I am seriously thinking to "upgrade" to a PS4...

 

Whether the game is singleplayer or multiplayer, I cannot play it. If I'm online, I get the error code "0x87de0017." When I'm offline, I get the code, "0x87de2727" and it tells me to set it as my home console. I have it set as my home console already. This
is absolutely garbage that I cannot play a singleplayer game offline. How can I fix this?

 

i had same problem yesterday and again 2day... people on my friendslist have same problems! status on web page say no problem on games! WAKE UP Microsoft and fix all this bull**** going on... xbox one is such a disapointment!

 

I don't know why others are saying this has been happening for several days. I was only affected yesterday and then about 4 hours later their engineers/technicians supposedly fixed it and was able to use apps and play downloaded games. But now, JUST FREAKING
NOW, it starts up again todat! Hacking is freaking illegal, so why hasn't the FBI busted in on these chumps and shipped them off to Federal pound-them-in-the-butt Prison yet? Do your customers mean so little to you that you're going to let the same crap keep
happening again and again?! Fix this problem once and for all!!!

 

My family is trying to do the same thing, watch a DVD and it keeps kicking us out with that same message, I understand there is some problem right now with XBOX services but I should not have to be online to watch a DVD, this is very irritating!

 

Dear Xbox live. Just a siggestion... But when i am not signed in to xbox live and i am simply trying to watch a dvd without using any of the internet functions at all... If my xbox must for some reason connect to xbox live in this scenario then please
do not add a function that returns me to the dashboard every 20s to tell me that it cannot connect to xbox live. This is massively irritating and deeply pointless. I am not even trying to sign into xbox live so leave me alone. I now have to completely disconnect
my xbox from the internet to watch a dvd, thank you so very much. I appreciate that this problem does not come up frequently. & indeed never happened to me b4 the recent update. But just wanted to post this suggestion so u can remove this oh so helpful function
in your next update.

 

I don't understand why I am never affected like other people , my boy is in there playing dying light right now , got it from gamefly in the mail today , installed it , updated it and playing it as I type this ...
