Unable to play Game Pass games, comes up with error code: 0x8b100042

For the last ten hours, I have been unable to play any Game Pass game.

I have tried six different games, including: Forza Horizon 5, Goldeneye 007, F1 2022, Soul Hackers, Battletoads, Halo: Master Chief Collection.

I know it's not on my end, I've restarted the system. Unplugged and replugged the system. No change.

My Xbox Game Pass billing is two weeks from now, and that shouldn't be a problem.

Yet Xbox support seems to be ignoring it.

I've tweeted Xbox Support with no answer.

I've checked on these forums, just the same cut-and-paste "here, try the same thing you tried that you've already tried." info.

So just tell me if this will be resolved before, I don't know, 2024 maybe.

Fired up FH5 after doing some errands, started up normally. Will try other games later.

Seems to be cleared up.

I have an Xbox One S not a Series S/X, so it's not just the next-gen systems.

So, yes I can cloud play a game, but does that mean I have to uninstall Forza Horizon 5?

Besides, cloud streaming is very spotty for me, since I don't have a really fast connection.

I'll test it with another game, but really, I don't have a problem with disc drive size, I have 1TB on console and a 4TB hard drive, with nearly 2TB empty.

Now if MS could have disc defrag and cache clearing that doesn't envolve turning the console off, that'll help.

As a player I can only guide, Microsoft does not respond and I just try to help in some way about the problem, Microsoft reported the error in the official posts and removed the notification of the problem but it is still occurring in several users, and the procedures are so that try something before waiting for the solution from Microsoft, if you've tried all the processes, wait for Microsoft to solve the problem on the servers.
