    So I live in Ireland, And I ordered a SpongeBob Season 2 DVD to watch. I put the disc into my Xbox One (Original Model) and the Blu-Ray app opened with the text “Sorry, we cannot play this disc. The disc is made for region 2 and this console is designed for region 1” Even though I live in “Region 2” (Europe) and I still can’t fix this! Does anyone have a solution?

    No as region coding is hard coded

    You are going ti have to get a region free dvd

    This is why you dont buy electronics out of region

    I got my got my Xbox Day One console at Microsoft Store in Chicago. I got the same error while playing a DVD.

    "Sorry, We cant's play this disc. This disc is made for region 1 and this console is designed for region2(0x91d70005)".

    This is strange, because i live in Region 1 and bought the console in USA. Console should be able to play a disc made for region 1.

    Any suggestions?

    Very frustrating - Blu Ray region issues

    Same issue here. Bought my Xbox in the US and it won't play region A blurays.
