Unable to manage Xbox account through xbox.com

Should i just make a new xbox account and if so would all my games be saved because i dont really want to rebuy all the games

Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. Unfortunately, your games and saved data would not follow you over to another account if you end up making a new one. It is possible that you are getting that error message because your account was created with
a birthdate under the age of 18. This is usually the case in my experience. In this scenario, updating your birthdate would not help. Your Xbox profile will always prioritize the first birthdate that was entered during account creation.

You would need to have an adult account add you to their family so that the adult account could then manage your privacy settings from their account. Here are some links that can help you out.

I have updated my age to the correct age (over 18) and yet i cannot do some of the functions e.g. upload custom pfp and so on. Do i need to wait some time or is it bugging out?

Why do I get an error message when I'm trying to provide consent for my child?

Here are a couple of reasons why you may be seeing an error message:

You may need to sign in with a different Microsoft account
If you’ve used a Microsoft account in the past to manage your child’s account, then you’ll need to use that same account to give them consent. You can check which accounts have access to your child’s account by having your child sign in to family.microsoft.com.
You’ll see email addresses listed under the names of each member of their family group.

Your child already received consent
If your child sent requests to another parent or multiple guardians for consent, someone else may have already provided consent for them. Have your child sign in to family.microsoft.com to
see which accounts are associated with theirs.

Can I remove consent for my child's Microsoft account?

Yes. If for any reason you no longer want your child to have a Microsoft account, visit family.microsoft.comand sign in with your Microsoft account. Scroll down and select Manage
my child’s profile info, find your child, and then select Remove consent for this child’s account.
