"Unable to make this type of purchase" error prevented purchase of a game. Price has now ...

Hey there! I was referred to these support forums after speaking with customer support on the phone this evening.

I tried to purchase Battlefront 2 for $10 last night but was getting repeated error codes in the process. Spoke with support then and was told to just try to make the purchase later. Well, later was this afternoon and the price of the game has increased substantially.

Is there anything I can do?

If you are receiving the message "Your account is unable to make this type of purchase on Xbox.com. Please complete this transaction from your Xbox" then this error means that 1) the Microsoft account that you're trying to use to make the purchase doesn't
have the ability to make the purchase 2) Child and teen accounts are prevented from making purchases in the Xbox 360 Marketplace. Changing your Microsoft account age or your purchase settings won't resolve this issue. Make sure that if you are an Adult account,
your account settings allow for Xbox 360 Marketplace purchases. If you are under the age of 18, you will not be able to buy 360 games from the Xbox One. To resolve this issue, purchase or download the content on your Xbox 360 console.

We are sorry to hear that you have been experiencing problems with your purchases, and you cant get the game you want at the price you want, but this was a promotion from EA, and they change the price to the regular one after the promotion, so what you can
do is to wait until the next promotion and get it in this price. You can find promotions all the time, its just check regulary.
