    I'm using Arch, with the AUR package linked installed. I do not have the ability to run snap packages.

    Thanks Mike, which Linux distro are you using? Are you running the native Linux version of the launcher?

    It can be downloaded here: https://www.minecraft.net/download/alternative

    It's recommended to use the snap package, but you can try the other versions if that's not working.

    Yes, I can. I also ran "strace minecraft-launcher" and didn't spot any odd files trying to be accessed.
