Unable to load, or launch any games or apps when offline, as well as a heavy delay when...

If this poor startup time is related to the expanded content of ESPN as opposed to when it was initially launched, then I call this a terrible design (something I haven't experienced much from Microsoft). A simple load-on-demand approach can alleviate the
heavy load of the startup delay. Another thing Microsoft should consider is giving the user the option to NOT load a video when starting up. This could be the biggest reason for the delay. Not loading video on startup would at least isolate the cause of the
delay. I've stopped using the ESPN app on XBOX360 because of this issue and I just go use ESPN3's site on my computer. I hope they resolve this issue soon.

Now it says KMODE Exception not handled. I think it is a problem with the app. When I launch them from the windows store they crash as well. All my games load fine besides the ones I download from the Xbox beta app. Any game I download from the Xbox or
Xbox Game Pass crashes when loading. Any free game I download from the Microsoft Store runs fine.

I have all my games installed on my external hard drive and I don't have any problems. The only thing that happens is it has to take 5 seconds to load when you launch a game or app for the first time from the external hard drive. After that, it opens up
without any delay. I bought a 1TB hard drive and it works flawlessly.

When your accessing these games to play, are using the Xbox App and going to my games and clicking "play" next to the title of the game? When a game attempts to launch do you see any type of error or does the game try load but fails to launch?

The issue eventually spontaneously resolved itself, sort of. It turns out the games do download ... after a real long time. When I go to down a game, it will sit at the preparing screen for several hours and then finally start downloading. And when I try to launch Forza Horizon 5, eventually after about 7 minutes I get this window that says "updating your game". This big delay happens when I boot up a game for the first time.

So although the Xbox app EVENTUALLY downloads and launches games them several minutes after clicking to start them, the huge delays made me think the app wasn't working. Well, if you consider this "working" then yes the app does technically work. But since games launch immediately and do not take hours to start downloading with Steam, you can see how I could interpret this the Xbox app "not working".
