Unable to launch Xbox App on PC without an internet connection. Looking for fix.

TreacherousSaint, the pc uses the internet to validate the licenses on your account so you can play.

Gamepass games, you must have internet access to be able to open the games.

I tried the "log out of xbox app and launch the game" trick, but it didn't work.

Then about 30 minutes ago I was notified that there is an update available for Gaming Services.

I updated it and tried launching Horizon 5 without turning the internet off. Looks like the update fixed the issue for me.

The download and the synchronization upon launching the games could be due to an internet fluctuation during the installation or download that caused the file to be corrupted.

Kindly try to connect your Windows PC device to a wired internet connection.

Then try to launch or download the games from Xbox app to see if it works.

If you can’t join or host an Xbox Live multiplayer game on your Windows10 PC, or you can’t connect to a party chat session, press the Start button,
select Settings > Gaming > Xbox Networking and
check NAT type.

If it says Teredo is unable to qualify, your PC is unable to obtain a Teredo IP address.

Solution 1: Make sure you have an Internet connection

1. On your PC, open the Xbox app.
2. Select Settings > Network.
3. Under Network status, make sure Internet connection says Connected.

If you don’t have an Internet connection, you’ll have to fix that before continuing with any additional troubleshooting.

Solution 2: Press the Fix it button in Xbox Networking

1. On your PC, press the Start button, then select Settings.
2. Select Gaming > Xbox Networking.
3. Select Fix it. Windows will try to detect and fix known issues with Teredo. Note You might need to restart your PC for changes to take effect after pressing the Fix it button.

Thanks for coming to the forums with your issue connecting. Is your PC connected to the internet? Try powering down the PC completely, when off leave off for 30 seconds and turn it back on. Then try and launch the Xbox beta app. Remember too that this is
a beta app, there will be some bugs and issues.
