    Unable to launch most games after latest Alpha skip-ahead update - Series X


    After getting the latest update (2109.210725-2200) on my Series X, I am now unable to boot most of my downloaded games and apps (including Flight Sim :'( ). I get the "Getting ready" message and then an error message with the code 0x80073cf6 when trying Flight Sim. Other games generally crash back to the dashboard after the initial splash screen with no error code shown.

    I can't even boot the "Report a Problem" app or the Insiders app to unenroll my console so I can roll back my firmware.

    Anyone else getting similar, or have any ideas how to sort it (beyond waiting for a hopeful fix in the next firmware)? I've tried full reboots, unplugging etc.

    In the alpha skip ahead, still no update. "Alpha Skip Ahead" clearly means something else... :')

    Edge on Xbox series s won't update

    As far as I'm aware Edge on console is updated automatically when a new Xbox console System OS update is released. Usually every month for General Availability release

    The version I'm using right now, on a Series X, Version 104.0.1293.44 (Official build) (64-bit) is the latest available to Alpha Skip Ahead Insider members.

    I have never gotten any notification to update Edge on console.

    Test aborted to tomorrow.

    Alpha Skip Ahead Update is causing the X to whine a bit more than usual.

    This is frustrating.
