    Unable to launch EA Desktop through the Xbox app?


    I just purchased Xbox Game Pass again for some of the EA catalogue, however, I am unable to link/open EA Desktop through the Xbox app. All it does when I try install/open an EA title in the Xbox app is open a blank EA Desktop login screen briefly (for like a second), and then it closes. However, I am able to open EA Desktop through its own launcher without issue.

    • Uninstall Origin
    • Go to help.ea.com > Log In > use the "Xbox Live" button and log in w/ your xbox account. This is what will link the EA & Xbox accounts together if they aren't already linked.
    • Close/log out of both xbox app & EA desktop
    • Run the commands in the last tab under "Still having problems?" from https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/games-apps/troubleshooting/troubleshoot-games-windows-10 and restart your computer
    • Open & login into the xbox app. Open & login into the EA Desktop app. EA desktop may now let you download EA play games.

    Try the solution below.

    Close the origin application completely, make sure it is not running in the task manager

    Do not launch the EA Desktop application

    Try installing the game via Xbox app, if it doesn't work try installing directly from EA Desktop.

    EA Play won’t install games

    I also have the same problem. I have my accounts linked, the ea desktop app downloaded. clicking the "install" button in Xbox App throws up an error (error code 0xa3e903ed).

    I can download the game through EA desktop, but Xbox App fails to see this.

    Can you try this:

    • Uninstall both the EA Desktop and the Xbox app
    • Restart your PC
    • Install the Xbox app
    • Install the EA Desktop app through the Xbox app
