any game boot receives an error: /game/ cant open because it is offline. the storage device might be missing or disconnected. no issues with drive, working fine for files, other programs and steam.

steps found online have NOT solved the issue, i have had this multiple times before, this solved it previously, but has not worked in this instance.

Here are the troubleshooting steps that we can do to resolve the issue.

1. Remove and reinstall Gaming services

Select the Search icon on the taskbar, type powershell, right-click on Windows PowerShell, and then select Run as administrator.

In Windows PowerShell, type the following command and press Enter:

get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

In the same window, type the following command and press Enter:

start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

Install the app on that page and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.

Restart your device and try to install the game again.

2. Reset Microsoft Store

Press Windows key + R and type wsreset.exe then hit enter.

An empty Command prompt will pop open. Let it be for a few seconds and the command line will close automatically (after it has cleared the cache behind the background) and Microsoft Store will be launched in its place.

3. Reset Xbox app.

Press Win + I to open the Settings app, and click on Apps.

Click on Apps & features, and in the search box type Xbox app and click on app settings (three dots).

Click on Reset.

4. Restart PC and open Xbox app to see if this fixes the offline issue.

I understand that you are having problems starting Game Pass games and that the steps you have followed online have not resolved the problem, I also want to remind you that I am a PLAYER just like you, just with a little more experience in Software and Hardware, Therefore I always do my best to help all Players who need support and assistance.

Repair and reset the Store app and Xbox app: Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Microsoft Store > Advanced options > Repair, then Reset. Do the same for the Xbox app

Delete temporary files: Press Windows + R. Type TEMP and press enter. Delete all files inside this folder. Repeat this step by typing %TEMP% and Prefetch

Move games to a different drive: Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features. Click on an app and click the “Move” button. You will be asked to select another drive, and you can click “Move” to move the app to that drive

Check offline usage permissions: Open the store. You will be asked to log in if you have not already done so. Select your profile icon in the upper right corner. Select App Settings, and then under Offline Permissions, make sure the switch is set to On

Update the Xbox app: Make sure your Xbox app is up to date

Let's try to reinstall and repair it.

Hold Win + I and go to Apps > Apps & Features.

locate Gaming Service and tap the menu button (...).

Advanced Options > Reset.

click Reset and confirm.

Later:

Win + X and select Windows Terminal (Admin).

Enter the command below:

get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

Wait for it to complete, and then type this other command:

start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

When it finishes installing, restart your PC and see if the error remains

Go to your windows update and click on get updates

After updating

See which version is your windows this way, and tell me
