Unable to join clubs

I have attempted to join clubs but keep getting prompt that I am unable to do so due to my privacy settings. However, my privacy settings has 'join club' option set to allowed. There is no parent account.

Xbox privacy & online safety settings don't work

Hi,

I'm trying to join a club on xbox, but i get an error message saying "you can't do this because the way your account is setup. Go to your privacy & online safety settings to change this".

I added my account to an adult account and changed the settings to "allowed to join/create a club".

But i'm still unable to join a club

Recently there have been a lot of posts regarding not being able to join a club.

How to Join a Club

If this does not help then please try to sign into another Microsoft account, then add the first account as an "Adult"
family member. From there, try to see if it is possible to change the settings and save them this way. Also, please try another device to see if it is possible to change the
Online Safety and Privacy Settings like
a phone, tablet, console etc.

Is this happening to any club you try to join or for a specific game?

First thing I would suggest to try is to toggle the join club setting to blocked, log out from Xbox.com, log back in and toggle the option to allow again. Completely reboot your PC and log out and then back into the Xbox App and try to join a club again.

Do by any chance also have an Xbox?

Are you able to just change permissions back to default? Reset it to adult permissions, and see if that fixes it? If it does, then fine tune your settings to see if it still works.

Is it possible to change it to the Adult Permissions on PC? If so can you give me the steps to get to the section to change the permissions.

Hi, the xbox app screen appeared when i clicked onto "search clubs" but there isn't a forza horizon game in the xbox app. I'm still unable to join clubs in the game.
