Unable to join a Club.

Recently I've gotton Forza Horizon 4 on PC. In the game it has a thing with joining Clubs. I was invited to a club, a small one, not maxed out. When I tried to joined it via the Xbox app on PC it says, "You can't do this because of how your account is
setup". So I went into the privacy & settings section in my account. The able to join clubs feature was already set to allow. However I still get that message saying I can't join Clubs. It won't even allow me to make my own Club. Is there a way to fix this
issue?

Xbox privacy & online safety settings don't work

Hi,

I'm trying to join a club on xbox, but i get an error message saying "you can't do this because the way your account is setup. Go to your privacy & online safety settings to change this".

I added my account to an adult account and changed the settings to "allowed to join/create a club".

But i'm still unable to join a club

 

Unable to Join Clubs

I am unable to join clubs with my Xbox Live account. When I request an invitation to join a club a message pops up saying,

"To do this, change a setting

You can't do request to join the club because of how your account is set up. This can be changed in your privacy and & online safety settings on Xbox.com"

So, I went to Xbox.com and changed the setting "You can create and join clubs" to allow. However, this was a while ago and I still have not been able to join clubs. Any help in resolving this would be great.

Are you able to just change permissions back to default? Reset it to adult permissions, and see if that fixes it? If it does, then fine tune your settings to see if it still works.

Is it possible to change it to the Adult Permissions on PC? If so can you give me the steps to get to the section to change the permissions.

If this does not help then please try to sign into another Microsoft account, then add the first account as an "Adult"
family member. From there, try to see if it is possible to change the settings and save them this way. Also, please try another device to see if it is possible to change the
Online Safety and Privacy Settings like
a phone, tablet, console etc.
