    Would you please provide us with little more information to ensure we provide the correct solution. Are you attempting to add friends on the Xbox App through Windows 10? Are you inquiring about inviting your friends to play a multiplayer game with you? If you are referring to inviting friends to join a multiplayer game, which game are you trying to invite them to play with you?

    Try to make a party on the Xbox app and then launch the game, one will join a session and in the pause menu instead of the invite friends option it will be changed to join friend's Gamertag, selecting it will join your friend's session
