    Unable to install the Xbox App from the Microsoft Store, or any app for that matter


    My friends recently all got new Series X's, so I have been trying to install the Xbox app so I can play games and chat with them but I keep getting error code 0x80070005. I've tried ever fix I have found online and nothing has worked, anyone know the fix for this problem?

    Hello, I hope you're doing well despite this technical difficulty!

    Do you happen to have any type of antivirus running? I've seen some antivirus software cause this type of problem. If you do have an antivirus software running try disabling it before you open up the Microsoft Store to start installing apps!

    May I know if you tried installing the Xbox app from here and not Microsoft Store?

    And, when you say "I can install games now, but I still cannot see any of the games"

    This is via Xbox app? Or are you installing the games from the Microsoft Store?

    I'm glad that you are able to download it now using the Microsoft Store app. That's the best alternate option if you are unable to install it from the Xbox app. Let me know if you still have any other concerns regarding the installation.
