    Unable to install certain games on PC with gamepass app


    Recently I have purchased the X-Box game pass and while I was installing a couple games I noticed that I was unable to install "Yakuza Kiwami 2 for Windows 10" when I checked the error details it said that error code was 0x80070005. I saw this problem by some other people about 1 or 2 years ago and apparently it was fixed in a Windows update but I am using the most recent version of Windows.

    anybody have any ideas on how to fix this?

    Are you using the Xbox (beta) app on PC to install Gamepass games?

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

    Have you tried removing the Xbox App and installing it again to your computer/device?

    I have found a thread where someone had this error, with the exact error code, and had to re-install Windows again to resolve this problem. Although, their problem was with the Xbox Game Pass app which no longer exists.: Unable to sign into xbox live on PC Gamepass - Microsoft Community

    Would you please try to reinstall the Gaming Services app on your PC?

    - Go to Start > Search for PowerShell > Right Click > Run as Administrator.

    - In Windows PowerShell, type the following command and press Enter:
    get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

    - In the same window, type the following command and press Enter:
    start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

    - Install the app on that page and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.

    - Restart your device and try to install any game again.

    See if this works and please let me know.

    if you have gamepass pc or gamepass ultimate then you should be able to download those games. is the windows install fully up to date and is there any updates waiting in the microsoft store app.
